Hello. I’m Rachel.
Facing various challenges and trials in my own life and alongside others, I have become aware of my own progression of mental wellness; noting the times when I have felt empty and alone, and the times I have felt the numbing pain of loss. But I also note the times where I have found hope and experienced grace—often through the steady voice of someone who cares. We all have moments where our minds and hearts are uneasy and in need of support. It is that realization that has led me to this profession. Knowing my clients and being with them in the process is a privilege that I do not take lightly.
Education
I completed my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy and my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA.
Experience
In addition to my time in private practice, I have worked in community clinics and in college and university settings. I am Level 1 and Level 2 Gottman Method certified, Level 1 Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy certified, and formally trained in Intergroup Dialogue to address issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. I have worked with clients ages seven to seventy-five,
Personal
The close people in my life will tell you that I’m lighthearted and often looking for a good time or a good story. I’m originally from Montana and happy to currently call Seattle home.
Things I enjoy: traveling, playing outside, cooking, adventuring, and spending time with family and friends.
